SP1+B: Web-enabled environmental monitoring appliance
with a built-in temperature sensor, 1x dry-contact I/O port, and 1x sensor-port for an external sensor
SensorProbe1+ compact environmental monitoring appliance monitors and manages environmental, security and power conditions over IP, providing early warnings before critical events turn into a disaster.
sensorProbe1+ Basic (Temp.) (SP1+B) comes equipped with:
1x hard-wired temperature sensor on a 5 foot cable
1x intelligent sensor input
1x dry-contact I/O port
SensorProbe1+ monitors critical environmental conditions, such as temperature, humidity, liquid water presence, power, intrusion, and smoke with a simple, easy-to-use web interface. SensorProbe1+ allows you to connect an external AKCP sensor such as temperature sensor, thermal map or water leak detection to its intelligent sensor port. You may also connect the sensor splitter box with cabinet thermal maps and contactless current meter, and you have a complete monitoring solution for your rack. With SensorProbe1+ you can monitor temperature front and rear, top middle, and bottom. Check your humidity and current consumption. Utilize the dry contact for door contacts, and virtual sensors* to monitor third party devices installed in the rack.
When a sensor goes out of range of a configurable threshold, the system will notify you via email, web page, network management (SNMP), and/or SMS messages (via email-to-SMS).
SP1+B comes with a basic set of software functions, which can be upgraded through a software license to a Pro version (see table and listing below).
Like with all other AKCP environmental monitors - running the same user interface as the rest of the sensorProbe+ product line - SensorProbe1+ allows users to keep an eye on remote conditions from a secure web interface and receive SNMP, E-mail, text message and voice call alert notifications when user-adjustable thresholds are exceeded.
The web interface provides an overview of environmental measurements with real time sensor data. All measurements are logged allowing users to collect data for trending and capacity management.
SensorProbe1+ offers secure access through the web and supports HTTP and HTTPS protocols. Easily view and log temperature, relative humidity / dew point and external sensors over the intranet or the Web. No software required - securely access the graphical user interface from a web browser.
SensorProbe1+ can also be powered with dual AC or DC inputs, available through AKCP's external DC-DC conversion boxes. The 12-24VDC or 48-60VDC external power supplies feature dual DC inputs with a single 5VDC output for powering sensorProbe1+ Pro PoE. This is ideal for telecoms applications where DC power comes straight into the cabinets. If the rack is equipped with dual PDUs, users can utilize 2x 12VDC power adapters, one on each AC power source, and connect them to the DC-DC conversion box with the output to the DC jack on sensorProbe1+.
sensorProbe1+ is manufactured using highly integrated, low power surface mount technology to ensure long term reliability.
Dry-Contact I/O Port
The I/O dry-contact port can serve either as an input port (On/Off state-reading), or as an output relay port (with low milliamp 5VDC output), user-determined via sensorProbe+'s Web interface.
When a dry-contact port is set to input mode, it works as a standard On/Off (state-reading) dry-contact input. A smoke alarm that has a dry contact output, for example, can be connected to an input dry-contact port, and sensorProbe+ will detect if the smoke detector is in alarm condition or not.
When a dry-contact port is set to output mode, it essentially behaves as a small relay that can output 5VDC with a few milliamps of current (although not enough to power anything or to drive a larger relay). An example would be perhaps a UPS that needs a signal to turn on. In output mode, sensorProbe+ will output 5VDC signal to the UPS dry contact input, telling it to turn on.
Under sensorProbe+ user-interface settings, Admin can choose if the contact is in input or output mode. If set as output, Admin can also set its normal condition to be high or low (+5VDC or 0VDC).
Admin can setup to control the output high-or-low condition by a notification which is controlled by a sensor. For example, if AC power is not detected, signal the dry contact output to turn high, which will then output 5VDC to the connected UPS telling it to turn on.
No Software Required
SensorProbe1+ is simple to install and use, requiring no special software other than a standard Web Browser. SensorProbe1+ connects to an Ethernet network with a standard RJ45 connector and sends data in standard TCP/IP packets. It is easily configured with a simple menu using a Web Browser. Pro version can be password protected with 2 access account level types: Administrator, and View Only. From within an Intranet or over the Internet, the user can securely access the monitoring appliance by entering its IP address.
Centralized Management
If you are deploying multiple AKCP environment monitoring appliances, you can centrally manage them all and monitor their data through AKCPro Server - a best-in-class data center infrastructure management software (DCIM) with a focus on temperature and airflow analysis.
• Learn more about AKCPro Server
Self-hosted AKCPro Server is FREE when connected to up to 4 AKCP environmental monitoring appliances.

Camera Support
SensorProbe1+ supports IP camera video streams through a connection to self-hosted AKCPro Server (running locally on your server).
Using self-hosted AKCPro Server, images from IP cameras can be synchronized with sensor events (e.g. images captured from an IP camera can be synchronized with a security sensor that's being triggered when a door, or window, opens, providing instant visual feedback on the situation).

* Requires Pro license.
1) Cloud AKCPro Server does not support IP cameras, and does not support Access Control products (Door Control Unit and RFID Swing Handle Locks).
2) If you need to support more than 4 AKCP environmental monitoring appliances, cloud licenses need to be purchased for all supported appliances.
