AKCP temperature sensors are ideal for data-center monitoring or anywhere a temperature sensor is needed. AKCP temperature sensors are network-enabled SNMP temperature sensors with calibration check.

AKCP temperature sensors are compatible with all of AKCP sensorProbe+ and securityProbe series environmental monitoring appliances. Designed to record accurate temperature data they are ideal for giving advanced warnings of temperature fluctuations that can potentially damage sensitive equipment. This advance notification can protect your data and systems from catastrophic events.

AKCP temperature sensors are NIST2- or NIST3-certified*, featuring a built in calibration check. Each unit has 2x or 3x NIST calibrated and certified temperature sensors. The primary sensor value is compared once a second against the secondary sensor for accuracy, and if AKCP detects a difference reading between the two sensors in a range greater than the stated accuracy, AKCP will alert that the sensor is out of calibration. NIST3-certified sensors will then automatically fail-over to the 3rd sensor and continue monitoring with a seamless graph of data. This makes these sensors ideal for situations where a high degree of accuracy is required (with NIST3-certified providing a backup for critical monitoring applications), along with assurance of the calibration state.

Setup is simple with the sensorProbe+ and securityProbe auto-sense function. Once plugged into the intelligent sensor port the environmental monitoring appliance automatically detects the presence of the sensor and configures it for you. All you need to do is set your thresholds for low and high warning and critical parameters. The built-in graphing function of the environmental monitoring appliance gives you a pattern of temperature trends over time.

AKCP temperature sensors are available in two styles:
• Extendable: Comes with a 5-foot CAT-5 cable; Can be extended up to 165 feet (50m) with self-provided standard CAT-5 cable; NIST2-certified
• Fixed-Length: Comes with a fixed-length cable; cable-length cannot be extended; NIST2- or NIST3-certified
