CTHMS-V2: Two strings of pre-wired 3x temperature and 1x humidity sensors
for monitoring top middle and bottom temperature values in the front and back of a cabinet, and easy installation into one sensorProb+ sensor port
Build a complete rack monitoring system connecting AKCP sensors to your sensorProb+ - fully SNMP compliant, monitor from your existing NMS or using AKCP DCIM AKCPro Server.
AKCP's Cabinet Temperature and Humidity Map Sensor consists of two strings of 3x sensors, pre-wired for easy installation to the front and to the back of a data cabinet:
1x temperature/humidity sensor (the 1st sensor in the string), and
2x temperature sensors.
With the sensors placed at the top, middle and bottom of the rack, this configuration of sensors gives monitoring of the air intake and exhaust temperatures of your cabinet, and the temperature differential from the front to the back of a data cabinet.
An included interface box (i2C Splitter) allows you to plugin these two strings into one sensorProb+ sensor port. Both front and rear, top middle and bottom temperature values are monitored, and differential values between the front and the back of the cabinet are also calculated.
AKCP's Cabinet Temperature and Humidity Map Sensor is compatible with all sensorProbe+ environmental monitoring appliances.
Sensors are provided with double sided VHB tape for mounting. Optional magnetic re-positionable mounting kit is available.
Users can use a CAT-5 cable up to 59 feet long to connect the interface box (i2C Splitter) to a sensor port on a sensorProbe+ environmental monitoring appliance base unit.
The maximum number of thermal maps on a single sensorProbe+ environmental monitoring appliance is 16.
Thermal maps can be added to rack map views in AKCPro Server. Animated arrows show the individual sensor values at the top, middle and bottom of the cabinet. 3D heat-map visualization of your data center allows you to quickly identify hotspots or areas being over cooled.
