2- 4- and 8-port USB/DVI KVM switches
with audio and USB 2.0 peripheral sharing
DVI+audio USB 2.0 KVMP switches chart a revolutionary new direction in KVM switch functionality by combining a 2- or 4- or 8-port KVM switch with a 2-port USB 2.0 hub at the same time as it provides an interface for a DVI monitor.
These KVM switches can increase efficiency and save equipment cost for applications, where high resolution monitors are required: CAD (computer aided design) and CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing); desktop publishing and graphic design; video editing; and gaming, where high video resolution is demanded.
In keeping with the proliferation of high speed devices, these DVI KVM switches provide two USB 2.0 peripheral ports for independently sharing USB devices between your computers. A powered USB hub may be attached to the peripheral ports for added functionality.
ATEN's DVI+audio USB 2.0 KVMP switches are equipped with ATEN's Video DynaSync. They remember your monitor's ideal resolution and refresh rate (EDID), making it possible to boot all your computers simultaneously, switch back and forth between computers, and still maintain the ideal video settings of the monitor.
As a KVM switch they allow users to access two or four or eight computers from a single USB keyboard, USB mouse, and monitor console. As a USB hub they permit each computer to access any peripherals connected to the hub on a 'one computer at a time' basis.
DVI+audio KVMP switches' independent (asynchronous) switching feature allows the KVM focus to be on one computer while the USB peripheral focus is on another. This eliminates the need to purchase a separate USB hub as well as the need to purchase separate stand-alone peripheral sharers - such as printer servers, modem splitters, etc. For faster data transfer speeds up to 480 Mbps, these switches use USB 2.0 ports instead of USB 1.1.
