GPLHDPROK: Transmit high-definition video and audio up to 984 feet over your home or office's power outlets
without the expense of rewiring
With IOGEAR's HDMI Over Powerline PRO Kit, transmit high-definition video and audio at astonishing distances up to 984 feet over your home and small-office/home-office's (SOHO) existing power outlets without having to incur the expense of rewiring. Enjoy content from your Blu-ray, set-top box or PC at resolutions up to 1080p. Simply plug in the transmitter into a power outlet and connect your HDMI source. Connect the HDMI receiver to a different power outlet and connect to your HDTV, monitor or projector.
How does Powerline work?
Powerline is an incredibly simple and straightforward means to set up devices that uses your environment's power cables instead of Ethernet, saving you on the hassles of running wires between rooms and the cost of professional A/V installation. This technology offers an alternative means of transmitting high-definition video and audio, installs easily and provides a reliable form of data transmission at ultra-long distances. Powerline technology takes advantage of the electrical wiring that already exists within your home or office to transmit data from one power outlet to another.
Transmitter and receiver(s) must be connected to the same unbroken circuit. It is highly recommended to plug all units directly into a wall outlet without extension cords, power strips, surge protectors or uninterruptible power supplies. Connection issues may arise if GPLHDPROK is connected to an electrical circuit with a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) or Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI) and if electrical outlet is located near to an appliance with high power consumption such as a washer or dryer.
Flexible and expandable installation
Connect and add up to 3 additional receivers* (4 total receivers) to each HDMI Over Powerline PRO Kit and distribute HD video to multiple displays. The Powerline transmitter also includes an HDMI local display output for connecting a local display and for monitoring that digital signals are transmitted to all locations. The kit is plug-and-play, so setup is as simple as connecting your source device and display(s) and powering on the Powerline transmitter and receiver.
Home entertainment and small-office/home-office (SOHO) applications
IOGEAR's HDMI Over Powerline PRO Kit is ideal for use in home entertainment and SOHO environments, particularly in dead spots where Wi-Fi connectivity is an issue. Watch your favorite movie or TV show in one room and continue watching it in another room or transmit to multiple TVs around your office when having a presentation.
Other applications include: when HDMI signals need to travel longer distances or need to be sent from one room to another through walls and doors. This is an easy, affordable and reliable solution for any place that requires a multi-display installation.
Infrared (IR) pass-through
The included IR extension cable and IR blast cable allow you to control your source device remotely. Use your source device's remote control at any of the receivers to control your media source from any area of your home or office.
