TCAJ: J-type thermocouple adapter 

for interfacing an existing J-type thermocouple sensor with securityProbe and sensorProbe+ monitoring appliances

For customers who have an existing thermocouple sensor, this adapter allows you to interface your existing third-party thermocouple sensor with AKCP's securityProbe and sensorProbe+ monitoring appliances.

This turns your thermocouple sensor into a network enabled SNMP compliant thermcouple sensor that can be monitored remotely and send alerts via E-mail, SNMP and SMS when temperatures exceed your pre defined thresholds.

TCAJ is compatible with industry standard J-type thermocouple sensors and it subscribes to the industry standard for thermocouples.

Thermocouples are temperature sensors typically used in heavy industry, cryogenics fields and chemical industry where the sensor is being exposed to extremes of temperature. This is due to thermocouples' accuracy and resistance to extremes of high and low temperatures.

Thermocouples' setup is straight-forward. Plug the thermocouple sensor into the adapter, then connect the adapter to an intelligent sensor port on the securityProbe or sensorProbe+ base unit. A free 5 foot CAT-5 cable is supplied for you to do this. Once connected to the base unit, the securityProbe or sensorProbe+ recognizes the thermocouple automatically and configures the unit. All the user needs to do is set the thresholds for high and low warning and critical levels.
