TCK: K-type thermocouple sensor
for measuring extreme (-330°F to 1650°F) temperatures
Thermocouples are temperature sensors typically used in heavy industry, cryogenics fields and chemical industry where the sensor is being exposed to extremes of temperature. This is due to thermocouples' accuracy and resistance to extremes of high and low temperatures.
TCK K-type thermocouple sensor requires K-type thermocouple adapter (TCAK - see listing below) in order to interface with an AKCP securityProbe or sensorProbe+ base unit monitoring appliance.
Thermocouples' setup is straight-forward. Plug the thermocouple sensor into the adapter, then connect the adapter to an intelligent sensor port on the securityProbe or sensorProbe+ base unit. A free 5 foot CAT-5 cable is supplied for you to do this. Once connected to the base unit, the securityProbe or sensorProbe+ recognizes the thermocouple automatically and configures the unit. All the user needs to do is set the thresholds for high and low warning and critical levels.
