Geist's NU30079 switched, unit-level monitored PDU provides reliable power distribution to critical IT equipment while delivering individual outlet level control and a comprehensive view of input power usage via remote network access.
The unit makes it possible to remotely reboot outlets to power cycle unresponsive IT equipment or increase runtime of critical equipment upon power failure with outlet-level control.
The unit offers local and IP-based power monitoring options for quick access to critical power usage information to evaluate energy usage trends and maximize uptime.
Environmental monitoring capabilities with the addition of optional environmental sensors ensure users have critical infrastructure data at their fingertips to prevent climate-related equipment failure and system downtime.
Fault-tolerant daisy chaining with RSTP simplifies intelligent rPDU connectivity and ensures data is reported even when a break in the network chain occurs. Supports up to 40 rPDUs.
Using Visible Light Communication (VLC) technology, NU30079 optically transmits power usage data from its LED display to a handheld device over the Geist Mobile App, presenting comprehensive real-time power usage data down to the phase and circuit levels.
Geist's rack power distribution unit (rPDU) gives data-center managers the flexibility to install the intelligence required today with the option to upgrade technology as needs evolve. To establish this upgrade path, Geist incorporated an interchangeable monitoring device (IMD) module into its rPDU design.
rPDUs last for many years and with the IMD design, businesses are able to upgrade their rPDUs to newer monitoring technologies in the future without having to replace the entire rPDU. With the Geist Upgradeable hot-swap technology, users may easily upgrade PDUs to the latest available technology by replacing the interchangeable monitoring device (IMD) module, all without causing any interruption in power delivery.
